homemade chicken + prawn cha han donburi

at wagamama, our kitchen is your kitchen. so here’s a recipe for cha han donburi. it’s super fresh with delicious prawns, mushrooms and crunchy snow peas. all the right ingredients to make you feel good. you can add a touch more of this and a pinch less of that. you can make it your own. what’s ours is yours and what’s yours is fresh donburi


4-6 shrimps
1 chicken thigh
3-4 quartered mushrooms (closed cup)
3-4 quartered mushrooms (shiitake)
6 snow peas (halved)
1 oz sweetcorn
2 scallions (chopped)
vegetable oil
1 egg, whisked
10oz brown rice
1 tbsp. soy sauce

to marinade chicken: grated ginger, splash of soy sauce, salt & pepper


1. marinade chicken 1 hour before cooking. cook chicken thigh
2. cook brown rice. whisk egg in bowl
3. heat oil in wok/frying pan
4. shred chicken
5. add all ingredients to wok
6. add soy sauce + season to taste
7. place in a bowl + serve
